The Resource

Spiderman Skin

Crossing genes from spiders and goats, humans are developing materials stronger than steel.

What Earth Looks Like

Moth Ears

Evolution has allowed moths to detect the vibrations the size of a few atoms.

The Variable Speed of Light

Many people believe that we are constrained to move no faster than the speed of light. However, if the speed of light changes relative to time and gravity we could theoretically travel faster than 3*10^8 m/s. This theory is exploring these possibilities.

Water World

A planet 40 light years away has been confirmed to be made up of mostly water (or what appears to be water). The diversity in our universe is astounding, I can’t wait till more finds like these are made.

What Happens If You Place Your Hand In The LHC

Peculiar questions to ask physicists.

Mathematical Music

Though interesting when applied to music, I wonder what implications non-patterned sequences could have.

Thorium, A Good Solution

If thorium is such a good fuel, why has it been ignored until now?

Guide To Learning Theoretical Physics

I have read the website and checked out its links and will definitely be using this during my gap year. However, unlike my other posts I have not studied it and thus cannot yet confirm its usefulness.

The Universe Is Nothing

A really interesting lecture about our universe.

Shock The Brain To Speed Up Learning

TDCS offers humans a way to double their learning speed. Studies have shown that using this for half an hour each week can double the speed people are retaining and acquiring knowledge at. Right now I have two concerns? Are there adverse health effects, maybe later in life? And where can I get one?

Then We Created Life Again

Using few chemicals to make proto-cells Martin Hanczyc successfully made blobs that could resemble the first forms of life on earth.

The video above attempts to explain the weight of the internet. Apart from being interesting this also gets me thinking, if the internet weighs so little would it not be possible to learn everything on it?

Just finished watching an 11 part documentary on 11 different evolutionary aspects that have been key to earth’s evolution. A very interesting watch. One insignificant fault, however, is that they claim dinosaurs to be cold blooded.

A neutrino walks into a bar.

The bartender asks, “What will it be?”

The neutrino replies “Oh nothing, I’m just passing through.”

The above video examines theories on what would allow neutrinos to travel faster than the speed of light. I find it particularly interesting conceptualizing on what it would mean if neutrinos had an imaginary mass and could move through a different dimension.

Obviously though, there is a lot of doubt to this, take this article for example.
